Bases are available in sizes up to approximately 9 × 9 inches. Final pricing is based on the total height of the base, including any support structures. Plus $10 flat rate shipping in the US.

Starting at just $50, our bases offer a highly affordable alternative to traditional Lucite bases, which often start around $150–$230 for smaller sizes (1" thick, ~4" wide) and can reach up to $1,000 depending on size and complexity.

Please submit a minimum of 40 photos of your impression mold so we can accurately process your order. We offer a dedicated upload link for your convenience, which is our preferred method for receiving files. Upload your photos HERE. However, if you’d rather use your own service, you’re welcome to send a download link from platforms like Dropbox, Google Drive, iCloud, or Amazon Photos. To keep things organized, each mold should have its own clearly labeled folder. Avoid combining multiple sets of photos into a single folder to prevent confusion during production.

These include: Pressing the specimen slightly deeper into the mold — about 2 to 3 mm Properly SEALING the mold Clearly marking the outline or edges of the mold Including a ruler in your photo set for scale Ensuring that all images are sharp, well-lit, and free of shadows or blur Included a photo of your mineral in its final show position while in the mold.

Base Thickness

Indicate the thickness you'd like for the main base platform only — this measurement does not include any additional support features. In most cases, a 0.75-inch or 1-inch thick base provides a balanced look for typical specimens. However, particularly large or visually substantial pieces may benefit from a thicker, more grounded platform for added presence and stability.

Species & Locality Label

You may include up to three lines of custom text for the mineral name and locality, formatted exactly how you’d like it to appear on the front of your base. Keep in mind that if the text is too lengthy, we might need to abbreviate the locality or adjust the font width to make it fit. Should a significant change be necessary, we’ll reach out for your confirmation. If you’d rather leave the base unlabeled, just type "NONE".
